When the holiday season rolls in, David Jackson welcomes the freezing temperatures and warmth of wood stoves that the month of December represents. On one weekend, they creep onto arriving ice and wander the snowy forest; creating a nourishing holiday meal.

Three years ago, nearly to the date, Brooke left a familiar life that she loved to explore something completely new and unknown. Since untying the lines in Ensenada, Mexico, in November of 2018, her and Conlee have made over eight thousand miles at sea.
